2010 Management Conference Recap

The Alliance welcomed over 50 utility board / council members and managers with a meet and greet reception at the Seasons Lodge in Nashville, IN on April 9th. In attendance was former first lady, Judy O"Bannon, who mingled with our guests most of the evening. Since Judy is an avid collector of antiques, we presented her with an antique wagon jack as a special thanks for taking time out of her busy schedule to speak to our attendees.


Saturday morning, attendees ventured over to the conference center for great classes that were geared just for them – about board liabilities, fees and rates, operator and board responsibilities, as well as employee policies and wages. You could find attendees networking in between classes – with peers and vendors that helped sponsor the conference, and at the luncheon, discussing the issues they face and learning from each other.


Saturday afternoon"s luncheon featured guest speaker, Judy O"Bannon. Her speech was inspiring and uplifting; commending all of us on the good work we do and recognizing the extreme importance of providing clean drinking water and treating wastewater in the most responsible way possible. The conference ended with really great feedback from the attendees and vendors; we are looking forward to the next one!
