Required Education: High school degree or equivalent 

Required Experience: Previous experience in wastewater collection systems, Vactor truck operations, lift station maintenance. Class B CDL must be obtained within 60 days of hire. 

Job Description:
        • Operate vactor truck
        • Perform technical work in the maintenance and repair of the District’s collection systems.
        • Clean and maintain lift station grounds, facilities and related equipment.
        • Maintain and monitor equipment.
        • Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment.
        • Respond to emergency operational situations at the treatment plant and lift stations during off-hours.
        • Maintain District grounds, facilities and equipment. Includes general building upkeep, mowing and trimming. Maintaining District properties and easements. Vehicle maintenance and cleaning. Equipment preventative maintenance and repair.
        • Repair and maintain District manholes. Involves raising and adjusting manholes for street projects, repairing manhole defects due to age and abuse.  Provide written reports and recommendations as requested. Maintain maintenance records with appropriate documentation.
        • Must be able to lift manhole lids that are 120 lbs.
        • Must be available to work 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday-Friday and participate in the on-call program during off hours on a rotating schedule.
        • This position is stationed at the CTRWD Treatment Plant located at 7236 S Mayflower Park Dr, Zionsville, IN 46077.

  Position: Utility Maintenance

Water and wastewater utility in southern Boone County seeks qualified applicants for entry level maintenance assistance. Ideal candidates will have at least three years experience in the utility industry or infrastructure construction. The position will report to the Utility Manager and provide assistance on meter reading, inspection and maintenance of sanitary sewer and water lines or pumping stations and other utility infrastructure or properties. The successful candidate shall be required to participate in the utility's On-Call Program and be capable of lifting items weighing at least 75 pounds such as manhole lids and be able to work in all kinds of weather.  Hagerstown Seeks Wastewater Operator
The Town of Hagerstown has an opening for a Wastewater Operator. The position entails operational oversight of the Wastewater Department including the operation of a 0.35 MGD conventional activated sludge wastewater treatment plant, with UV disinfection, Class A Biosolids and a separate sanitary sewer collection system with 3 lift stations. The Wastewater Department employs a total of 2 employees. The applicant must be certified in the State of Indiana as a Class II Wastewater Plant Operator or higher, have a high school diploma or higher; have good oral and written communication skills, along with computer skills; have the ability to perform heavy physical work; have the skills to work well with others and the public; and be knowledgeable of State and Federal regulations pertaining to the Wastewater Department. Applicants should have an employment history showing progressively higher responsibilities and have two years or more experience as a Class II Wastewater Plant Operator or higher. Candidate must possess a valid Indiana driver's license. The WWTP Operator reports to the Town Manager.
