Upcoming Classes

Alliance of Indiana Rural Water offers training classes for water and wastewater operators, as well as classes for clerk treasurers, utility boards & councils and utility managers.  Unless otherwise specified all classes have been approved or are pending approval for water or wastewater contact hours by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).  IDEM approved classes meet the Indiana State Board of Engineers criteria for professional development hours (PDHs).

Water classes are in light blue. 
Wastewater classes are in green. 
Dual Certified classes are in red. 
Events are in dark blue. 

The Scoop On The Scope

Course Description: This is a hands-on course using the microscope. In this course you can expect to learn about:
  • the parts of the microscope and how to determine lens magnification
  • staining for Floc settleability and stability
  • slide staining to determine nutrient deficiency
  • gram staining for filament identification

Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm (local time)

Contact Hours: 5 Technical Wastewater & 5 General Water
