Students attending this class will gain a broad overview of the fundamental principles of wastewater treatment, including the processes involved in primary and secondary treatment and disposal. We will discuss concept, tools and processes such as BOD, trickling filters, activated sludge, clarifiers, and disinfection and introduce relevant legislation and guidelines as well as the terminology related to wastewater treatment.
