Confined Space Training - Introduces water and wastewater operators to the methods used in determining a confined space and explains proper steps to take in protecting operators who have to work in such conditions. Covered will be the hazards encountered in confined spaces that are capable of causing bodily injury, illness, and even death. Upon completion of this course, students will understand the definition of a confined space, the difference between a confined space and a permit-required confined space, categories of confined space, importance and order of atmospheric testing, ventilation requirements, duties of each member of the confined space entry team, and required safety equipment for confined space.
