About the Position
The Associate Member representative serves as an important connection between AIRW’s Associate Members, Advisory Council, and Utility Board. This individual helps ensure that the perspectives, expertise, and needs of companies serving Indiana’s rural water and wastewater industry are represented within the organization.
Associate Board Members help lead the AIRW Advisory Council and provide guidance and recommendations to the AIRW Utility Board. This is an active leadership position that requires regular participation, thoughtful input, and a commitment to supporting AIRW’s mission and membership.
Responsibilities and Attendance Requirements
The elected Associate Board Member will be expected to:

Help lead and actively participate in the AIRW Advisory Council.

Attend at least 60% of Advisory Council meetings in person.

Advise and provide recommendations to the AIRW Utility Board.

Maintain at least an 80% attendance rate for AIRW Utility Board meetings.

Participate in assigned committees, meetings, and other AIRW activities.

Represent the interests of AIRW Associate Members.

Provide industry insight, ideas, and feedback that support the continued growth of the Alliance.

Serve as an engaged and professional representative of both their company and AIRW.
Candidates should carefully consider the time and attendance commitments associated with the position before submitting a nomination.
Who May Be Nominated?
Nominees must be representatives of an Associate Member company in good standing with the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water.
Candidates should have an interest in becoming more involved with AIRW, strengthening relationships between Associate and Utility Members, and helping guide the future of the organization.
Associate Members may nominate another eligible representative or submit a self-nomination.
Nomination Deadline
All nominations must be submitted by September 25, 2026.
