Alliance of Indiana Rural Water is pleased to offer exam review courses as preparation for individuals planning to take the Indiana certification exam for I-SP, Class I, II & III municipal certifications or the industrial certifications A-SO, Class B, C and D. We also offer courses specifically for operators who are sitting for the Wastewater Collections Systems exams offered through IWEA.

The Wastewater Municipal Exam Certification Course is a comprehensive six-day training program designed to prepare operators for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Municipal Wastewater Operator Certification Exam. Available in both online and in-person formats, this course provides an in-depth review of the operational, regulatory, mathematical, laboratory, maintenance, and treatment topics commonly found on the state certification exam.
Recognized as one of Indiana's most successful exam preparation programs, this course combines practical industry knowledge with focused exam review to help participants build confidence and improve their chances of success. Whether preparing to sit for the certification exam for the first time or seeking a refresher on wastewater operations and treatment principles, attendees will gain valuable knowledge that can be immediately applied in the workplace while strengthening their understanding of municipal wastewater treatment processes.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Review and apply key concepts associated with municipal wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal processes.

Application review and approval can take several weeks, and submitting your application early will help ensure you are eligible to schedule your exam as soon as possible following the review course.

IDEM Certification Exam Info:
Ivy Tech will offer the exam any business day throughout the year (no postmark due date for submitting applications). This is a computerized exam, and applications must still be submitted through IDEM.
