BF&S – Engineering Better Communities Since 1961
Founded in 1961, BF&S is a full-service civil engineering firm serving communities across Indiana with practical, cost-effective infrastructure solutions. For more than six decades, BF&S has partnered with municipalities and utilities to plan, design, and deliver reliable water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
BF&S’s Water Resources Department includes 23 professionals, 12 of whom are registered Professional Engineers, and is closely supported by dedicated Stormwater and Program Management departments. Together, these teams provide integrated water, wastewater, and stormwater services - from planning and preliminary engineering through design, coordination, and implementation - while emphasizing clear communication, regulatory compliance, funding coordination, and long-term system performance for rural water systems.
