Activity Participation & Behavior Expectations Statement

The Alliance of Indiana Rural Water (AIRW) is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and professional environment for all participants, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, staff, and volunteers, at our events, trainings, and activities.

All individuals participating in AIRW-sponsored activities are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and respect toward others. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or any form of disruptive behavior—whether verbal, physical, or visual—will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any protected status.
  • Unwelcome verbal or physical conduct, inappropriate comments, or offensive behavior.
  • Disruptive or disrespectful actions that interfere with the participation and experience of others.
  • Any conduct that creates an unsafe or hostile environment.

AIRW reserves the right to take appropriate action, including but not limited to removal from the event, training, or activity without refund, in response to violations of this policy.

By registering for or attending an AIRW event, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by these expectations. If any participant experiences or witnesses inappropriate behavior, they are encouraged to report it to AIRW staff immediately.

Our goal is to provide a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for all, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a positive and professional environment.
