Confined Space Training & Pumps with National Water Service - Paoli, IN

Morning Session:

Introduces water and wastewater operators to the methods used in determining a confined space and explains proper steps to take in protecting operators who must work in such conditions. Covered will be the hazards encountered in confined spaces that can cause bodily injury, illness and even death. Upon completion of this course, students will understand: the definition of a confined space, the difference between a confined space and a permit required confined space, categories of confined space, importance and order of atmospheric testing, ventilation requirements, duties of each member of the confined space entry team and required safety equipment for confined space. 

Afternoon Session:

A basic review of pumps by National Water Services. This session will also discuss well rehabilitation. The course will be followed by a tour of the NWS Paoli location.
