Course Description
This course provides water and wastewater utility professionals with a timely overview of emerging cybersecurity threats and the tools available to strengthen utility resilience. Participants will learn about recent Iran-linked cyberattacks affecting utilities, state-level cybersecurity resources, endpoint and email protection, vulnerability management, continuous threat detection, and procurement options that may provide access to free or discounted cybersecurity solutions.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe recent cyber threats targeting water and wastewater systems.
- Identify cybersecurity resources and reporting pathways available through IDHS.
- Explain how endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and email security support utility operations.
