Enrollment is limited to 24 participants.

When registering, you must identify exactly which certification exam(s) you intend to take so the instructor can prepare the appropriate course materials.

👥 WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

New operators learning drinking water distribution fundamentals.

Prospective operators preparing for distribution certification exams.

Experienced distribution operators looking to refresh their knowledge.

This course focuses on all distribution grades: DSS, DSM, and DSL.

Treatment operators may also attend. Approximately 75% of exam categories overlap between distribution and treatment, including safety, pumps and motors, disinfection, and sampling. However, treatment-specific material will not be the primary curriculum.

🦺 REQUIRED: BRING YOUR PPE

All participants must bring the following personal protective equipment:

Hard hat

Gloves

Safety eyewear

Class 3 safety vest

Safety shoes

Bringing all listed PPE is mandatory.

💻 MANDATORY PREREQUISITE MEETING

Participants must attend one of three one-hour prerequisite meetings offered between December 7–15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m.–noon Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Meeting dates and calendar invitations will be provided to registrants. Each meeting will cover:

Math and formula sheet.

Manuals and handouts to print before class.

Please note the time zones: Prerequisite meetings are in Eastern Time; the February course is in Central Time.
