Indiana Pump Works Veterans Scholarship 

The Alliance of Indiana Rural Water is proud to partner with Indiana Pump Works to support workforce development in Indiana’s water and wastewater industry through the Indiana Pump Works Veterans Apprenticeship Scholarship.

Indiana Pump Works recognizes the importance of strengthening the workforce pipeline for Indiana’s water and wastewater utilities, especially small and rural systems. This scholarship is designed to assist eligible veteran apprentices enrolled in the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water Registered Apprenticeship Program by helping offset costs associated with Related Technical Instruction and apprenticeship training.

Through this program, Indiana Pump Works is supporting the next generation of skilled water and wastewater professionals while honoring veterans who continue their service through essential utility work.

Scholarship Details

Indiana Pump Works will award up to two $1,000 scholarships each year. One scholarship will be awarded during the Alliance Spring Conference, and one will be awarded during the Alliance Fall Conference.

Scholarships are administered through the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water, with final recipient selection made by Indiana Pump Works. 

Application Timelines:

Fall Scholarship applications are open July 1 through August 31.

Spring Scholarship applications are open December 1 through January 31.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Indiana Pump Works Apprenticeship Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in or accepted into the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water Registered Apprenticeship Program
  • Provide a DD214 to verify veteran status
  • Be employed by a participating water or wastewater utility system
  • Meet all apprenticeship program requirements established by the Alliance
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued employment and professional growth within the water and wastewater industry
