Course Description
This course provides an overview of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) management and the important role pretreatment programs play in protecting wastewater collection systems and treatment facilities. Participants will explore the National Pretreatment Program, sewer use ordinances, and industry best management practices (BMPs) designed to reduce FOG-related blockages, sanitary sewer overflows, and treatment process disruptions. The course emphasizes practical strategies utilities can implement to improve system performance and regulatory compliance.
