This course will provide an introduction to the use of SCADA systems and GIS in the water and wastewater industry. What is SCADA and GIS and how you can use it at your Utility? Proper use of GPS location devices, as well as hands on use of such devices. Asset management & digitization of critical data within GIS. Overlaying ArcGIS maps on state archived maps and using the maps for daily operational functions will all be discussed. This course will also cover the basic ideas of what cybersecurity means for a Process Control System and best practices to mitigate risk will be explored.
